Can I reuse a sign rider QR code for my next listing?
Yes, if the code is dynamic. The printed pattern holds a short link that you control, so you change where it goes and hang the same rider on the next sign. With TangoQR this is free for a code's first 50 scans. After that, a change to the link needs Pro.
A sign rider that says "Scan for details" names no property, so the only part tied to a listing is the code. If that code is dynamic, its destination is a setting. Change the setting and the rider belongs to the next listing.
How the move works
- The listing sells. Take the rider down.
- Open the code in your TangoQR dashboard and paste in the next listing's link.
- Hang the rider on the next sign.
The next scan goes to the new listing. The printed pattern does not change, because it holds a short TangoQR link and not the listing address.
What a static code does
A static code has the listing address in the pattern itself, and it cannot be changed. A rider with a static code is good for one listing. Most free generators make static codes, so check before you print. The QR code URL checker shows what a code holds: a short redirect link means the code can be changed.
What it costs to keep reusing a rider
On the free plan, you can change a code's link for that code's first 50 scans. A rider that stands outside a listing for a few weeks will pass 50. After that the code keeps working, and a change to its link needs Pro: $10 a month or $100 a year, with no limit on the number of codes. An agent who moves riders between listings should plan on Pro.
Between listings
A rider in the garage still has a live code. Point it at your own page or your current listings while it waits, so a scan from an old photo or flyer goes somewhere useful.
Does the scan count start again?
No. The count belongs to the code, not to the listing, and it runs for the life of the code. To see the scans for one listing, read the daily chart for the days the rider was on that sign. The daily chart is on every code for its first 50 scans, and on every code with Pro.
The real estate guide covers a full set of riders, sizes and costs.
Step by step
-
Make one code per rider

Print the rider once
Download the SVG and give it to your sign shop.
-
Change the link when the listing sells
Open the code in your dashboard and paste in the next listing's link.
-
Hang it on the next sign
The same rider now opens the new listing.
