Privacy policy

What we collect

• Your email address, for sign-in and to send you the codes you save and account messages.
• The QR codes you create: the destination links, any custom styling, and the codes' settings.
• Basic profile info from your sign-in provider: your name and profile picture, if they share them.
• Scan data for your codes: timestamps, an approximate region derived from the visitor's IP address, and the browser or device type.
• Standard server logs: IP address, browser, and timestamps for requests to the site.
• Error telemetry, so we can find and fix bugs.

Signing in

You sign in with Google, Apple, Facebook, GitHub, or Microsoft. We use these only to verify who you are. From whichever provider you choose, we receive your email address (used to identify your account and send you account messages), and, if the provider shares them, your name and profile picture (shown in your account). That is all we request. We never ask for access to your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, contacts, files, photos, or anything beyond your name, email, and profile picture.

We do not sell this information. We do not share it with third parties for their advertising. We do not use it to train AI models.

If you signed in with Google, TangoQR's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

You can disconnect TangoQR from your provider at any time: Google, Apple, Facebook, GitHub, Microsoft.

What we share

When someone scans one of your codes, they reach the destination you set. The companies that help us run TangoQR handle data on our behalf under their own terms: our hosting and database provider, our email provider, our payment processor, our error-monitoring provider, and our content-delivery network. We do not sell your data, and we do not run third-party advertising trackers.

Cookies

We use first-party cookies to keep you signed in and to remember basic product state. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Your choices

To delete your account and the data tied to it, contact us and we'll take care of it. (Deleting your account removes your codes, so any codes you have printed will stop redirecting once it's done.) If you signed in with an outside provider, you can also revoke our access from that provider's settings (see the links above).

Email communications

When you create an account, you'll receive transactional emails (login codes, billing, account information, material service changes) and occasional product updates about TangoQR. You can opt out of product updates at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or from your account settings. Transactional emails are required to use the service and cannot be opted out of while your account is active. We do not share your email address with third parties for their own marketing, and we do not use your email to market other products in the Middlefield General Services portfolio without your separate explicit consent.

Children's data

The service is not intended for anyone under 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Where we operate

We operate from the United States. By using the service you acknowledge your data is processed in the US.

Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and PerfSpot LLC, which operates TangoQR. By using TangoQR you agree to them.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure and for the accuracy of the links and content you put behind your codes. Don't use TangoQR to defraud people, send spam, harass anyone, or do anything illegal. If you do, we can close your account.

The service

TangoQR is provided as is, with no warranties and no uptime guarantee. We are not a point-of-sale or loyalty system. We render QR codes backed by redirects you control; what you do with the scans is up to you. We may update the product, its pricing, and these terms; we'll try to be reasonable about notice for material changes.

Our liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PerfSpot LLC and its operators are not liable for any damages, losses, missed payments, data loss, or other consequences arising from your use of the service. You use TangoQR at your own risk.

Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

Assignment

We may transfer or assign these terms and our rights and obligations under them, at any time, to any affiliate, acquirer, or successor. You may not assign your rights under these terms without our written consent.

Ending things

You can stop using TangoQR at any time. We can suspend or close accounts that abuse the service or break these terms. Either way, codes you have created keep redirecting to their last destination unless you delete them.

Accessibility

We strive to make TangoQR usable for everyone, including people with disabilities. The product is designed in alignment with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act. We test the product with automated accessibility tooling as part of our build process. Accessibility is an ongoing commitment, not a one-time goal: we monitor it and address issues as they surface. If you encounter a barrier, contact us and we will respond promptly.
